FOUNDING ROUND

Business
Audit

THE ENGAGEMENT

Business Audit begins with an independent investigation of your business and the market around it to find what is costing you money, where the opportunities are, and what deserves to change.

We turn our findings into a detailed strategy for what happens next. The founding round also includes two months of advisory and implementation oversight at no additional cost.

You already know where you want your business to go.

But when getting there requires expertise outside your own company, everyone has an answer that they just happen to be selling. The agency wants to run ads. The developer wants to rebuild your website. The recruiter wants to make a hire. The broker wants to open another location. Sometimes they're right.

But even a perfectly executed solution is wasted money if it solves the wrong problem. The wrong hire. The wrong investment. Another six months spent fixing something that wasn't holding you back. Meanwhile, the opportunity that actually mattered goes untouched. Markets Eye is the independent party on your side. We establish what deserves your business's money and attention, show you the credible ways forward and the evidence behind them, then help make sure the route you choose is executed properly.

See an example of the work

A case study of commercial investigation, independent judgment, and what changed as a result. A creative and software business grew from approximately $10,000 to $50,000 in monthly recurring revenue over six months after working with us.

YOUR BUSINESSCOULD BE MAKINGMORE MONEY.

YOURBUSINESSCOULD BEMAKINGMORE MONEY.

Or so you're told—by just about everyone calling you, emailing you, or showing up in your feed to sell you something.

Your Instagram feed says you need paid advertising. Your inbox is full of agencies promising more customers. Your phone rings with people selling websites, software, automation, AI agents, lead generation, SEO, recruiting, appointment setters, CRMs, sales training, branding, new offers, and expansion advice. Then come the consultants, coaches, podcasts, newsletters, webinars, conferences, workshops, and courses...

Today it's one thing.
Tomorrow it'll be another.

But you already know that.

You've built a successful business. You don't need another person telling you how to grow it. The problem, however, is that you still need to grow your business. And that means making decisions. Hiring more people. Opening another location. Investing in marketing. Improving operations. Entering new markets. Putting real money and time into whatever comes next.

You may already have your next move in mind. But before you put real money behind it, there's a lot worth checking.

What should it actually cost? Who should do the work? Is there a better way to get the same result? What might it affect elsewhere in your business? And is this the best place to put your money right now?

The people selling you these things will happily explain why they're worth buying. But they're speaking from their own field, their own experience, and their own incentive to sell. Very little of that information comes from someone who has actually investigated your business.

That's not to say you can't look into each opportunity yourself. You already do. You're researching, comparing, asking people questions, and figuring things out.

But how much time can you really put into it? You still have your own business to run.

So what if, before committing $50,000, $100,000, or six months of your time to something, you could spend a fraction of that to have it properly investigated first?

Your business. Your market. The opportunity you're considering. What it should cost. The alternatives available. Everything that's costing you right this moment. The people offering to do the work. And everything that might affect whether it's actually worth pursuing.

Maybe the move you were already planning is exactly right. Maybe there's a much better way to do it. Maybe there's another opportunity worth more of your attention. Or maybe you discover you don't need to spend that money at all.

Whatever direction you choose, you shouldn't have to figure out the entire execution yourself.

Your job is to decide where the business goes.

So whose interests would you rather have behind the information you use to make those decisions? Yours, or the person trying to sell you something?

That's what the Audit is designed to give you.

First, something
you should know.

Most of the time, on your side, it's literally just a bunch of yeses and nos.

We're about to explain an extensive investigation and decision-making process. That's the work we do.

THE CONVERSATION

Your side.

Is this where you want to take the business?

Yes.

Does this reflect how things actually work?

Mostly. Here's what you're missing.

Are you comfortable starting here?

Yes.

That's generally what working together feels like.

THE ENGAGEMENT

From evidenceto execution.

Three connected disciplines. Each carrying the understanding of your business into the decisions that follow.

01 / INVESTIGATION

Independent Business
Investigation

An extensive investigation of your company, its market, and the opportunities and decisions that matter to you. We examine the business from the inside and the outside, investigate the evidence behind important questions, and establish what is actually driving its results.

01 / 0502 / 0503 / 0504 / 0505 / 05

Every investigation begins with the business you've built and what you want to accomplish.

We learn how your company operates, its history, customers, strengths, and the decisions you're considering. We establish your ambitions, priorities, and the things you don't want to sacrifice along the way.

Your knowledge provides essential context, while independent industry research helps us identify questions you may not have considered.

The result is an investigation designed around your company's actual circumstances and objectives, rather than a predetermined list of improvements.

We examine the information behind your company's performance to establish how it actually works.

Financial records, customer behaviour, pricing, operating processes, staff capacity, historical decisions, and other relevant information are brought together to build a more complete understanding of the business.

Where important information is missing, we investigate further, reconstruct what can be established from existing records, or gather additional evidence.

This allows us to identify what drives results, where resources are going, which strengths create value, and which parts of the business deserve closer examination.

Your business is examined alongside the market in which it operates.

We investigate relevant competitors, customer behaviour, demand, pricing, industry conditions, emerging technologies, and commercial opportunities. We examine how other businesses operate, what they're offering, and why particular approaches may or may not work for yours.

Where a question requires specialist knowledge, we seek the relevant expertise and practical perspectives.

The investigation extends beyond the information already available inside your company, revealing opportunities, alternatives, and important external conditions that might otherwise go unexplored.

An apparent problem isn't necessarily its underlying cause. An impressive result doesn't always mean what it appears to mean.

We examine competing explanations, investigate unusual patterns, reconcile conflicting information, and test important assumptions against the available evidence.

As findings develop, we discuss them with you and incorporate the operational knowledge that company records alone may not reveal.

The objective is to establish not only what is happening, but why it matters, what appears to be causing it, and how confidently the available information supports that conclusion.

The completed investigation is delivered through a private, explorable Audit workspace.

Important findings are presented clearly, together with their implications for your business. Each can be examined in greater detail, including the reasoning, supporting information, and relevant company or market research.

The deeper investigation remains organized and accessible without requiring you to work through every record yourself.

You receive a comprehensive understanding of the business, what deserves attention, which opportunities warrant consideration, what is already working, and the evidence behind those conclusions.

02 / THE STRATEGY

From Understanding
to Direction

Once the investigation establishes what matters, we determine what should be done about it. We develop credible approaches, investigate their economics and requirements, compare alternatives, and establish which decisions deserve attention. The result is a detailed Strategy built around your objectives, resources, and the business as we've come to understand it.

01 / 0502 / 0503 / 0504 / 0505 / 05

The Investigation may uncover numerous findings, opportunities, strengths, and constraints. The Strategy begins by establishing what they mean together.

We examine how the important parts of the business influence one another, which factors have the greatest consequences, and what needs to be considered before resources are committed.

This produces a coherent understanding of the company's current position and the decisions that matter most.

Rather than treating every finding as another project, we establish where attention and investment are most likely to be worthwhile.

For each important objective or finding, we investigate the credible ways forward.

That may involve changes to existing operations, additional capabilities, outside specialists, new technologies, different commercial arrangements, or approaches the company hasn't previously considered.

We examine the underlying requirements before settling on a particular solution, allowing different methods to be considered on their merits.

Sometimes the strongest option is to improve what already exists. Sometimes it's to invest in something new. Sometimes it's to leave something alone.

The relevant options are examined against the company's objectives, finances, operating conditions, and available resources.

We investigate what each approach could accomplish, what it would require, what it should cost, and which benefits, risks, and trade-offs deserve consideration.

Where appropriate, we examine actual providers, technologies, implementation methods, and specialist perspectives to establish how the alternatives compare in practice.

You receive our recommendations alongside the reasoning, credible alternatives, and information needed to understand what each decision would mean for your business.

Worthwhile opportunities don't always deserve to happen at the same time.

We determine which decisions warrant immediate attention, which depend on earlier improvements, which should wait, and which could interfere with something already working.

The Strategy distinguishes what to pursue, what to stop, what to protect, and what becomes worthwhile only under particular conditions.

Rather than presenting an overwhelming list of possible improvements, we establish a manageable sequence of decisions, with the importance and timing explained.

Recommendations are developed into practical directions with the requirements necessary to pursue them.

We establish what the selected work should accomplish, how it could be implemented, which capabilities may be needed, what must happen first, and what results should be examined afterward.

You can question our reasoning, explore an alternative, introduce constraints, or choose a different direction based on your own judgment.

The final Strategy reflects both our independent recommendations and the decisions you make as the owner. You leave with a clear basis for moving forward.

03 / IMPLEMENTATION OVERSIGHT

Intelligence Carried
Into Execution

A sound decision deserves equally careful execution. For two months following Investigation and Strategy, Markets Eye remains involved to help evaluate the necessary people, investments, and implementation work. The understanding developed throughout the engagement remains available as decisions are carried into practice. This period is included in the founding engagement at no additional service fee.

01 / 0502 / 0503 / 0504 / 0505 / 05

By the time implementation begins, we've already investigated your business, its market, the relevant economics, and the reasoning behind your chosen direction.

That understanding becomes the foundation for the work that follows, whether you're hiring, changing a process, evaluating an agency, or considering another investment.

The relevant objectives, findings, constraints, and requirements are already established.

You don't have to repeatedly explain your business or commission the same research every time another decision arises.

When a decision requires outside expertise, we help identify and evaluate the capabilities needed to carry it out.

That can include agencies, contractors, technical specialists, software providers, potential hires, and other professional resources.

We investigate relevant options, examine their experience and suitability, seek additional perspectives where useful, and compare them against the actual requirements of your business.

We can also draw on relationships with experienced operators and specialists when their knowledge or connections are relevant.

Before important work is commissioned, we help establish what should be delivered and what the arrangement should reasonably involve.

We examine proposals, pricing, deliverables, requirements, timelines, and available alternatives. We look for unnecessary expenses, missing responsibilities, poorly defined expectations, and opportunities to achieve the same objective more effectively.

The work is evaluated against the original reason the investment was considered.

You have independent support when making commercial commitments, with a clearer understanding of what you're paying for and what should be accomplished.

Once you've selected a direction and the necessary people, we help carry the Strategy into actual work.

Relevant specialists can be provided with the company context, objectives, requirements, and constraints established during the investigation.

We help coordinate the important moving pieces, clarify expectations, review progress, and examine whether the work is being delivered as intended.

The people responsible for execution perform their work. You retain control of the business. Markets Eye remains involved as an independent party supporting the overall objective.

As decisions are implemented, new information becomes available.

We examine the results, investigate unexpected developments, and help determine whether the original direction should continue, change, or be reconsidered.

Important actions and observations are preserved alongside the earlier investigation, allowing future decisions to benefit from what has already been learned.

When new commercial questions arise, we can use the existing company understanding to investigate them more efficiently and prepare focused guidance where appropriate.

At the end of the included advisory period, you retain the original findings, the decisions made, what happened afterward, and what deserves attention next.

OUR ROLE

Independent by design.

We don't automatically become the advertising agency, website developer, recruiter, accountant or specialist carrying out every part of the work. Outside providers, software subscriptions, advertising budgets and other third-party execution costs are separate.

That separation is deliberate. We investigate what makes sense, help find and assess the right capabilities, clarify what they should accomplish, and oversee the work without being limited to a particular service to sell.

Your business remains yours to direct. Our role is to help make the decisions around it exceptionally well informed.

THE EXPERIENCE / AFTER PURCHASEWhat exactly happens after I buy?

The engagement is designed to keep the demanding work with us and involve you where your knowledge or judgment genuinely matters.

  1. 01

    Your place is confirmed.

You'll receive a confirmation and welcome email. Your company's case is opened. There's nothing you need to prepare immediately.

  2. 02

We prepare specifically for your business.

We review your company's public presence, preserve what we've already discussed, begin relevant background research and prepare the questions for your first conversation.

  3. 03

    We arrange your first conversation.

Within the next few business days, we'll email you to arrange a Google Meet. It's a conversation, not a presentation or an exam. You don't need to rehearse anything or prepare a report. We'll send a recap afterward, along with any questions that need clarification.

  4. 04

We establish what information is available.

Before requesting records, we determine which information would help the investigation and what already exists in your company. Then we ask for the simplest usable versions. This is normally the most hands-on part for you or your team; we keep the requests clear and manageable.

  5. 05

    We conduct the Investigation.

Markets Eye handles the extensive investigation. We involve you when your knowledge or judgment matters and minimize unnecessary interruptions. As important findings develop, we'll discuss them with you.

  6. 06

    You receive your private findings.

We'll email you access to the completed Audit so you can explore it privately, at your own pace. After you've had time with it, you can arrange a conversation to discuss findings, ask questions and address anything you believe needs correction.

  7. 07

    We develop your Strategy together.

We turn the investigation into informed choices, recommendations and the right sequence of initiatives. We discuss the practical routes, your preferences and anything you want us to examine further. You receive the completed Strategy before the remaining balance is requested.

  8. 08

    Your included implementation period begins.

Once you've reviewed the work, confirmed continuation and completed the remaining payment, your two included months of advisory and implementation oversight begin. Your dated Audit is preserved while the consultation workspace carries decisions, specialists and results forward.

Throughout the engagement, you make the important decisions. We handle the heavy lifting around them.

THE FOUNDING ROUNDWhy so cheap?

Markets Eye is building its first substantial collection of real-world case studies demonstrating the value of independent business investigation, Strategy, and implementation oversight.

It's easy to say we've saved someone hundreds of thousands of dollars. It's much more convincing to show a business where our work actually saved or made that money—and explain what was found, what changed, and why.

One is a promise. The other is evidence of the work itself.

That's why we're accepting nine founding engagements on unusually favorable terms. We are deliberately taking less revenue from these initial clients because strong, permissioned case studies and the opportunity to refine the service through real engagements are more valuable to us in the long term.

You receive the complete founding engagement at a favorable price. We have every incentive to deliver work worth documenting.

INVESTIGATION SCOPEWhat we can help you understand

We can investigate commercially significant questions across areas including:

  • Growth opportunities and market potential.
  • Marketing, advertising, SEO and acquisition channels.
  • Customer behaviour, retention and customer economics.
  • Offers, services, pricing and positioning.
  • Competition, industry conditions and market changes.
  • Revenue, costs, margins and operational profitability.
  • Capacity, staffing and organizational effectiveness.
  • Software, AI, technology and automation.
  • Existing agencies, vendors and professional services.
  • New products, locations, partnerships and expansion opportunities.
  • Investment decisions and major planned expenditures.
  • Other relevant business and market questions connected to your objectives.

The scope is broad, but the work remains directed by what is actually valuable to your company.

If something would require an unusually extensive separate investigation or a regulated specialist engagement, we'll discuss that with you rather than quietly add cost or complexity.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Frequently asked
questions.

Is this for businesses that are struggling?

No. The engagement is built for owners of established businesses making consequential decisions. You may already know what you want to pursue; the Audit helps investigate the business, the investment and the alternatives before more resources are committed.

What if I already know what I want to do?

That's a useful place to begin. We can examine that decision independently, investigate its costs and practical requirements, compare credible alternatives, and help you pursue the direction you select.

How long does the Audit take?

The investigation and Strategy are scoped to your business and the information required, so there's no single delivery duration that fits every company. We'll explain the expected sequence and timing once we understand your situation. The included implementation oversight runs for two months after continuation and final payment.

How much time will you need from me?

An initial owner conversation, access to relevant existing information, and occasional input when your experience or judgment is important. We do the extensive investigation and analysis. We won't ask you to manufacture polished reports when usable records already exist.

What if my records are incomplete?

We first establish what exists and how reliable it is. Where needed, we can verify other sources, reconstruct answers from available information, or collect new evidence through targeted questions and observation.

Will you tell me what I should do, or just give me data?

Investigation and Strategy serve distinct purposes within the Business Audit. Investigation establishes important findings and the evidence behind them. The Strategy compares viable responses, makes our recommendations and develops practical routes. You make the final business decisions.

Do you have a preferred solution to sell me?

No particular implementation service has to be purchased for an investigation to be successful. We can recommend investing more, improving an existing arrangement, choosing another provider, postponing a project or avoiding unnecessary spending.

Can you work with my existing agencies and team?

Yes. We can evaluate existing arrangements, help clarify objectives and coordinate with the people already doing the work. You do not need to replace an effective provider simply to work with Markets Eye.

Do you personally run my advertising, development or hiring?

Not automatically. Our role is the independent investigation, Strategy, advisory and oversight. We can help source and assess specialists, clarify work, review proposals and support coordination. External implementation is performed by the appropriate providers or your team.

Are agency fees, software and ad budgets included?

No. Third-party services, subscriptions, advertising budgets and other execution costs are separate from the Markets Eye engagement fee. We help you evaluate those costs before you commit.

What does the $850 cover?

It initiates the founding engagement. We complete and deliver the Investigation and Strategy before requesting the $3,750 remaining balance under the agreed founding terms. The full engagement totals $4,600 USD and includes two months of subsequent oversight at no additional service fee.

Is the second installment optional?

No. The complete founding engagement is $4,600 USD, accepted at the initial purchase. The $850 is the first installment; the remaining $3,750 is manually invoiced after the agreed Investigation and Strategy are materially completed and delivered, and is due within five business days. The balance is not contingent on return on investment, satisfaction, or an additional continuation decision. The two included months of oversight begin after the remaining balance clears.

How does the referral benefit work?

Refer another qualified business owner who becomes a paying Markets Eye client, and your remaining balance is reduced from $3,750 to $1,875 under the qualifying referral terms. Your resulting total would be $2,725 USD.

How is our information handled?

Business records are used to perform the engagement and are subject to the agreed confidentiality, privacy and data-handling terms. The service isn't built to sell your business records to third parties. Our Terms & Conditions describe the applicable data-use, access, retention and disclosure provisions.

What happens after the two months?

We close the included period with an updated understanding of the decisions, actions and observations. The issued Audit and agreed deliverables remain available to you; any further advisory or new investigation is a separate decision, not an automatic continuation.

Can I disagree with a recommendation?

Absolutely. We explain our reasoning and alternatives; you retain authority over the business. We can record your chosen direction and help you understand the practical implications, even when it differs from our preferred route.
